The shoebill, then Entebbe
Early pickup (7 AM) and a boat search for the prehistoric shoebill in the Mabamba swamp, one of the best places on earth to see it. Transfer to your hotel in Entebbe.
Ziwa rhinos to Murchison
Pickup at 7 AM, rhino tracking on foot at the Ziwa sanctuary, then continue to Murchison Falls National Park.
Game drive and the falls
Morning game drive on the savannah, afternoon boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls.
Top of the Falls, to Kibale
The thunderous top of the falls in the morning, then transfer to the Kibale Forest.
Chimps of Kibale
Chimpanzee trekking in the forest, with the Bigodi wetland walk as an option in the afternoon.
Queen Elizabeth's Kazinga
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP: morning game drive on the Kasenyi plains and an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel.
Ishasha to Bwindi
Exit Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions, then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The gorillas
A full morning trekking the mountain gorillas of Bwindi, one hour with the family among the misty trees.
Into Rwanda
Cross the border to Rwanda and drive to the Volcanoes National Park in the Virunga mountains.
Dian Fossey's grave, then Lake Kivu
Hike to Dian Fossey's grave in the gorilla forest, then transfer to the shores of Lake Kivu at Rubavu to relax.
Lake Kivu
A day at leisure on Lake Kivu: swim, kayak, or just watch the islands and the Congo hills across the water.
Back to Kigali
Transfer to Kigali, with time to visit the Genocide Memorial before settling at your hotel.
Departure
Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your flight home, the whole Pearl of Africa in your memory.
