Entebbe to Jinja
Arrive at Entebbe (7:30 AM), meet your guide and transfer to Jinja on the shore of Lake Victoria, where the Nile begins.
Rafting the Nile
A full white-water rafting day on the Nile at Jinja, then a relaxed evening at the lodge.
To Murchison Falls
Transfer north to Murchison Falls National Park through the countryside of central Uganda.
Savannah and the falls
Morning game drive across the park's plains, then an afternoon boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls among hippos, crocodiles and elephants on the banks.
Top of the Falls, to Kibale
Visit the top of Murchison Falls, then transfer to the Kibale Forest National Park.
Chimps in the Kibale forest
Trek the habituated chimpanzee families of Kibale with a ranger, then an optional walk through the Bigodi wetland.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP; afternoon game drive on the Kasenyi plains and boat trip on the Kazinga Channel.
Ishasha and the tree-climbing lions
Drive through the Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions, then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Gorilla trekking
Trek into the misty forest of Bwindi for one hour with a family of mountain gorillas.
Across the border to Rwanda
Cross into Rwanda and continue to the Volcanoes National Park, home of the mountain gorillas of the Virungas.
Dian Fossey's grave
Hike to the grave of Dian Fossey, who gave her life to the gorillas, in the forest above the volcanoes. Afternoon at leisure.
Kigali, then home
Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your flight out, with two countries and a lifetime of wildlife behind you.
