Arrival in Entebbe
Pickup at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.
To the Kibale forest
A relaxed breakfast, then the road transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, home of the greatest density of primates in Africa: chimpanzees, black and white colobus, red-tailed monkeys and the Uganda mangabey. In the afternoon, a walk through the tea plantations.
Chimpanzees and Bigodi
Morning chimpanzee trekking in the Kibale forest with your ranger, then the afternoon and evening in the Bigodi wetlands: primates, birds and butterflies on the boardwalk.
To Queen Elizabeth
Breakfast and the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive early and head out for an afternoon activity in the park.
Savannah and the Kazinga Channel
Game drive on the Kasenyi plains among buffalo, elephants, lions and kob, then the two-hour boat trip along the Kazinga Channel: hippos, crocodiles and one of the greatest concentrations of water birds in Africa.
Ishasha to Bwindi
Drive through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A strenuous day ahead, so you arrive, check in and rest.
Gorilla trekking
Trek into the Bwindi forest to spend one hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family, then transfer to Kisoro near Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Golden monkeys of Mgahinga
Golden monkey trekking in the Mgahinga forest, then an afternoon of rest at the lodge with the volcanoes on the horizon.
Lake Mburo and a night drive
Breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara. Arrive, rest, then a night game drive: hyenas, owls, bushbabies, and the rare leopard if you are lucky.
Mburo walk, the Equator, home
A guided morning bush walk with an armed ranger among zebras, giraffes and eland, then the road to Entebbe with a stop at the Equator line for the classic photo. Transfer to the airport for your flight.
